The Community Prayer Box is one way our church is reaching out to our community to provide support.
The Community Prayer Box was installed and dedicated on June 24, 2018. It's a locked box with a slot for prayer requests. Anyone with a prayer concern is welcome to use it. It can be an avenue through which someone who is not connected with a particular church can still request prayer. Even if someone has a church family already, extra prayers wouldn't hurt. The request can be anonymous. No names are required. There is also a place to write contact information if a call from the pastor is something that they'd like.
When a request is received, the Prayer Team is notified and prayers are said daily.
Hello, Richmond First. This is Pastor Sunhwa.
We are finally enjoying beautiful weather here.
What do you enjoy most during this season?
Sometimes, we do not need anything special to enjoy God’s creation—the sunshine, the lake, the green trees, and all the beauty around us. These are all gifts from God.
How about our church? What gifts has God given to us as a faith community?
As a pastor, June feels like finishing a half-marathon, and it is a time to reflect on what we have experienced and accomplished together during the first half of the year. I am deeply grateful for our musicians. For the past four years, it has been a blessing to serve, practice, and grow together with one shared vision, joy, and heart.
I also want to thank our church family who come early to worship and listen during our rehearsal time. Your presence encourages us and helps prepare our hearts for worship.
It is also wonderful to see more young families becoming involved in our ministry and making a difference in the life of the church.
Our livestream technology continues to be a great blessing, and I am thankful for those who serve faithfully—whether in worship, coffee hour, or behind the scenes—even while caring for their children.
We are especially grateful to Women in Faith, who continue to support our church's ministry in many ways.
This year, they contributed toward replacing the ceiling, and the Men’s Ministry helped with the labor.
Thank you to everyone who serves, supports, and walks together in faith.
Let us finish the first half of the year with gratitude and continue forward with God’s blessing and grace.
Guided by the teachings of Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, our mission is:
“Serving with Love, Growing in Faith.”
We aim to provide an environment where individuals are welcomed and encouraged to learn, live, and share the teachings of Jesus Christ and to celebrate in the worship of God.
We invite you to join us in this mission. Whether it's through volunteering, donating, or offering a prayer, every contribution makes a difference. Together, we can impact the world and spread the light of Christ.
